Gareth Southgate, England manager Praise for the performance of four players in the warm-up win over the Ivory Coast 3-0.

“Roaring Lions” warm-up win 3-0 Ivory Coast on Tuesday past. With goals from goals from Ollie Walkins, Raheem Sterling and Tyrone Mings.

Southgate said after the game that “I think the concept at the beginning was very good. The red card obviously changed the face of the ufabet game. Which was a pity for the test we need.”

“I think Jack Grealish and Raheem Sterling were outstanding along the line. They were not happy with being substitute. But both of them still have a lot to offer.”

“Jude Bellingham had a very good game. I’m really please with him. And Tyric Mitchell is stepping into the national team and he’s doing really well.

Those sentiments were share in the dressing room. With Grealish mystified by the reaction.

“Personally I think it’s ridiculous,” he said. “Harry’s been unbelievable for this country in the World Cup, the Euros. I think even tonight he was brilliant. Our first two goals come from him.

“The first one him driving out with the ball and the second comes from him driving a little bit and then playing the pass into Ollie. Not every centre-back can have those qualities. He’s a fantastic servant for this country and he’s been brilliant. So I think it was ridiculous for him to get booed and it wasn’t something that the team liked.”
